How It Works

1. Visit Us

Bring your firearm or receiver, a valid government-issued photo ID, and your trust documents if you are filing through a trust.

2. We Prepare Your Form 1 Package

We'll help gather the firearm information required for the application, complete your fingerprints and photograph, and handle the required NFA engraving.

3. Submit Your Application

Your ATF Form 1 is submitted through the ATF eForms system. The federal making tax is paid directly to ATF when required (now $0).

4. Wait for ATF Approval

Your firearm must remain in a lawful configuration until your Form 1 has been approved. Once approval is received, you may complete the configuration authorized by your approved Form 1.
 

NFA Engraving Requirements

Firearms made pursuant to an approved ATF Form 1 are subject to federal identification and marking requirements.

For most Form 1 SBRs made from an existing serialized firearm, the firearm must be marked with the Form 1 maker's:

• Name or legal trust/entity name

• City

• State

Required markings must be legible, conspicuous, and engraved to a minimum depth of .003".

Do you submit the Form 1 for me?
We can assist you throughout the filing process and help make sure you have the information and supporting documentation needed for your application.

Can you handle my fingerprints and engraving at the same appointment?
Yes. One of the main advantages of our Form 1 Package is being able to complete multiple parts of the process in one visit.

Can I build my SBR immediately after submitting the Form 1?
No. Submission of the application is not the same as approval. You must receive ATF approval before assembling or possessing the firearm in a configuration that requires an approved Form 1.

Can I file using a trust?
Yes. We can assist customers filing either individually or through an NFA trust. Additional paperwork and fingerprints may be required for responsible persons associated with a trust.

How long does approval take?
ATF processing times vary. We cannot guarantee an approval date or processing time.
